Genuine LiftMaster 855LM HomeLink Compatibility Bridge Kit (LiftMaster catalog number HOMELINK RPTRMC) — the fix when the HomeLink buttons in your car will not learn a Security+ 2.0 opener. Cars built before about 2012 carry older HomeLink versions that cannot speak the Security+ 2.0 rolling code. The bridge plugs into a wall outlet near the opener, learns the opener, and re-broadcasts the car's older HomeLink signal in a form the yellow-button opener accepts. Kit includes the bridge and a programming remote.
Do you actually need it? Try the car first: HomeLink on most vehicles from 2012 onward already learns Security+ 2.0 directly from the learn button. If the opener flashes but the car buttons never take, or the car manual lists your HomeLink as version 3 or earlier, you need the bridge. Security+ 3.0 openers (white learn button, 2025 on) are trained from a handheld remote, not the learn button, and the bridge does not apply to them.

How it goes in
Plug the bridge into the outlet nearest the opener head. Press the opener's learn button, then the button on the bridge, and it learns the opener. Then sit in the car and train HomeLink to the bridge's programming remote exactly as you would to an ordinary remote. Ten minutes, no tools. Common questions
My car is a 2015 and still will not learn the opener.
Some makes fitted older HomeLink into later model years. If a fresh remote programs to the opener but the car will not, the bridge is the answer regardless of model year.
Does it work with a Chamberlain or Craftsman opener?
Yes — same part. Chamberlain sells it under the same HOMELINK RPTRMC number.
Will it fix a car that will not learn a gate operator?
No. It is built for the garage door openers listed above. For a gate, a 893MAX remote in the car is the reliable route.
Does myQ replace this?
No. myQ is the phone app; HomeLink is the buttons in the mirror. They are separate.
